Stingray City Welcomes Sunshine Girls

The girls of the Sunshine Home spent the morning swimming with stingrays, and then paddled through an afternoon of kayaking, with the compliments of the Management and Staff of Stingray City. On day five of “The Twelve Days of Christmas” program initiated by the Halo Foundation, the girls were thrilled and surprised at all that there is to see and do in their little island of Antigua: island safari tours, fun day camps for children, trek tours, spa activities, and now Stingray City.

Patron of the Sunshine Home for Girls and founder of Halo, Lady Sandra Williams, said: “Our partners are doing a fabulous job in exposing our local children, who ordinarily would not have had the opportunity to explore and enjoy their surroundings in almost the same way that a tourist would. Making a number of people happy for twelve days during this festive season is not a trivial gesture. We are all very appreciative of their efforts”.
