Halo’s team joined STREET PASTORS last evening as they distributed food and water to, and engaged in prayer and companionship with the homeless and destitute in the downtown area of St.John’s.
“Street Pastors was pioneered in London in 2003 by [Antiguan and Barbudan] Les Isaac.“ Its purpose is to “provide a Christian presence on the streets in local communities in order to listen, care and help”.
In addition to the United Kingdom, there are international branches in Antigua and Barbuda, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, USA, Nigeria, Ireland, Gibraltar, the Channel Islands and Australia.
The Halo Foundation commends STREET PASTORS Antigua and Barbuda for their meaningful work, despite constant challenges and limited resources.
