Governor-General Sir Rodney Williams To Deliver Throne Speech Today
St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda: Governor-General of Antigua and Barbuda, His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams will today outline some of the government’s plans and policies for the upcoming Parliamentary Year, when the Second Session of the Parliament opens at 9 a.m.
His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams’ presentation of the Speech from the Throne will focus on the theme, “Realignment to Rebuild a Broken Nation.” It is believed that His Excellency will detail government’s plans to put the nation’s people back to work with the creation of a number of job opportunities.
On Monday 12th January, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Corporate Governance the Hon. Gaston Browne will present the Budget Statement during which he will elaborate on his Government’s efforts to reposition the economy of Antigua and Barbuda and create opportunities for the nation’s people.
