Island Academy emerged the school with the most entries and the best quality of artwork overall in the Halo Foundation’s 2015 greeting card competition. River Andrews, who is herself an Island Academy Student, was named  both the winner in the 13-15 year old age group, and the overall winner of the competition.
President and Founder of The Halo Foundation, Inc., Lady Sandra Williams, said she was extremely pleased with the response to this initiative. “We want to encourage, and to assist in the development of, the creative ability of our young people. There were almost 300 entries of extremely high design quality from schools across the island, and this is quite a good start. The winning design will be printed on the face of the Halo greeting cards for 2016, and these will be made available shortly.”
