Ms. Ariana Joseph, recipient of the Halo Hero Humanitarian Award – Higher Education Category, for humanitarian services (2016)
Ariana was educated at the Sunnyside Tutorial School before successfully completing her secondary education at the Christ the King High School in 2016 with 15 CXC subjects, 12 of which were at the level of distinctions and 3 Grade Twos.
She has long been an active volunteer and gained experience in the humanitarian ventures of numerous institutions. From being a member of the Potters Youth Group, the Tindall Pathfinder Club, to volunteering at the National Office of Disaster Services, Ariana has always made the time to help others throughout her school career.
Ms. Joseph is the proud recipient of the Halo Foundation/ Henley and Partners Scholarship Award tenable at the Saint Mary’s University in Canada. She is currently pursuing a double major in Biology and Chemistry. Once again, she is finding time to volunteer for the Children’s Wish Foundation, be an active participant in her dorm activities and to successfully complete numerous professional development activities.
Upon completing her studies at St. Mary’s University, Ariana plans to advance her steps towards becoming a Cardio-thoracic Pediatric Surgeon by pursuing further training in the medical field. Undoubtedly her commitment to volunteerism will continue.
