His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams, Governor General and Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Chet Greene, handed over cheques of $5000 each to the three beneficiaries of the “You Can Help” Campaign last Friday. The initiative began in the second quarter of 2020 as a means of relieving financial stress in charitable organizations brought about by the effects of Covid -19.
The project was conceived by H.E Karen-Mae Hill, High Commissioner for Antigua and Barbuda to the United Kingdom, and is executed by the HALO Foundation. Donations were received for this campaign in aid of the continued work of the Salvation Army Sunshine Home For Girls, the Antigua & Barbuda Ex-Servicemen Association and the St Vincent De Paul Society Holy Family Conference. The project is supported by the Caucus of Antigua and Barbuda Ambassadors and Honorary Consuls in Europe.
