The Halo Foundation’s Generation Y agricultural initiative continues to “bear good fruit” as the group harvested its first set of papayas from the farm. The project which sought to address food security during the Covid-19 pandemic has made significant progress through advocacy and action.
The youth-based organization hopes to expand its operation shortly but is also asking members of the public to be respectful of the hard work which farmers put in and ask that the practice of perennial larceny is discontinued. (The Halo Farm recently had a large part of its infrastructure stolen ).
