The Duke of Edinburgh’s Wish List

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Wish List

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is a non-profit, internationally recognized youth development programme that equips young people with the confidence, resilience, leadership, and life skills needed to make meaningful contributions to their communities and the wider world.

The award is open to all young people aged 14 years and over and encourages participation in four key areas of personal development: Service, Skills, Physical Recreation, and Adventurous Journey (Expedition). Through these experiences, participants develop self- reliance, perseverance, responsibility, and a lifelong commitment to serving others.

Our Wish List needs are as follows:

  • A permanent headquarters or office space to serve as the national administrative office and meeting venue.
  • Media and public relations support to increase awareness of the Award and promote our programmes and events.
  • Assistance with marketing, communications, and social media outreach.
  • Recruitment of volunteers, Award Leaders, Assessors, and mentors to support programme delivery.
  • Partnerships with individuals, businesses, and organizations willing to sponsor activities and events.
  • Office furniture, computers, printers, internet services, and other administrative equipment.
  • Financial assistance or sponsorship to support programme operations, participant development, and outreach initiatives.
  • Transportation support for expeditions, community service projects, and other programme activities.
  • Printing of promotional materials to increase public awareness and participant recruitment.

Your continued support and advocacy will greatly enhance our ability to provide life- changing opportunities for the young people of Antigua and Barbuda. Every contribution, whether through resources, partnerships, expertise, or sponsorship, helps us to empower the next generation of leaders
