RESIDENTS OF THREE RESIDENTIAL INSTITUTIONS FOR YOUTHS ENJOY LUNCH AT GOVERNMENT HOUSE 

The residents of three institutions for children in Antigua and Barbuda were special guests at a luncheon at Government House on Tuesday December 22, 2015. The luncheon which was hosted by Their Excellencies, the Governor General, Sir Rodney Williams and Lady Williams saw over 25 boys and girls from the Boy’s Training School, the Good Shepherd Home for Girls and the Sunshine Home for Girls in attendance. The staff of the Office of the Governor General were on hand to serve the special guestsIn addressing the gathering, His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams commended administrators of the institutions for their commitment to service and hard work over the past year. The Governor General encouraged the young people to strive for excellence even in the face of challenges and to resist the urge to let their personal circumstances affect their attitude.In response, the administrators and the young residents expressed their gratitude to Their Excellencies for the invitation, encouragement and best wishes for 2016 and beyond.The institutions are just three of twenty-five which fall under the patronage of the Governor General and Lady Williams.
